The society was started in 2005 by Peter Millett, M.D., Director of Shoulder Surgery at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail. The intent of the Society is to elevate the standard of care for patients with shoulder and elbow disorders in the Rocky Mountain region through research and education. The Society's annual meeting provides a forum for health care providers to learn about the latest surgical and rehabilitative techniques. New procedures and recent outcomes updates on topics such as arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, shoulder and elbow trauma, joint preservation surgery, elbow arthroscopy, shoulder and elbow reconstruction, and total joint replacment of the shoulder and elbow are reviewed by regional experts.

The Rocky Mountain Shoulder and Elbow Society is dedicated to excellence in clinical care and is organized and lead by the efforts of leading authorities in the field of shoulder and elbow surgery who hail from the Rocky Mountain region.

The 2009 meeting is being organized by Panorama Research and Education Foundation and is planned to be held in Beaver Creek.

Reserve the dates of August 7th, 8th, and 9th to join some of the the most respected surgeons in the Rocky Mountain region present and share the latest techniques in reparing the shoulder and elbow.

If you have questions or suggestions for the 2009 meeting, please contact Shirley Brodjeski.
